Laura Dearman
Coordinator of Teacher Residency
Laura joined The Martin Institute and Presbyterian Day School (PDS) after 19 years teaching early childhood students. She serves as the Coordinator of the Residency Program for the Martin Institute as well as the schedule coordinator for the Martin Institute Conference.
She currently teaches PK, JK, and SK art and movement classes at PDS. Laura has presented at various conferences in Memphis and Tennessee including TAIS, TAEYC, MAEYC, Shelby County Schools In-Service, and The Martin Institute Summer Conference. Workshops include “Come On! Let’s Write”, “Literacy Development and Little Explorers”, and “Literacy Development in Kindergarten.”
Laura received her bachelor’s degree from Ole Miss and her master’s degree from The University of Memphis.
Laura and her husband have two children and one crazy dog.
