I am a graduate of the University of Memphis and currently a sixth grade teacher at Harding Academy of Memphis. I have forty years of teaching behind me and still love getting up each morning and starting a new day of learning for my students.
I enjoy traveling and have been able to travel to China, Japan, England, France, and Spain on Fulbright-Hayes or NCTA grants. My travels have made me a much better teacher of social studies because I can talk to my students from first hand experience.
My passion is Asian Studies, and being an alumnus of the National Consortium for Teaching Asia has given me many opportunities to learn about this part of the world and its culture through seminars and webinars.
